Former Australia speedster Mitchell Johnson must have realised how big a mistake it could be to take a dig at any Indian cricketer after he got brutally trolled by the fans following his subtle dig at the veteran fast-bowler, Ashish Nehra.
It all began when Johnson took to Twitter to troll New Zealand pacer Mitchell McClenaghan. The World Cup-winning bowler tweeted:
“@Mitch_Savage ?can’t wait to catch up when we beat you in the upcoming BBL. ??”

Amused by Johnson’s tweet, McClenaghan, while taking a dig at the Australia, replied:
“You going around again old timer???”

In reply, Johnson said yes and suggested he and the Kiwi pacer should have a bowl off to decide the fastest left-arm seamer over 30.
“Hahaha yep & we should have a bowl off to see who’s the fastest left armer over 30,???” Johnson wrote.

With the two Mitchell’s enjoying the banter, former Australia batsman Dean Jones joined the conversation and almost crashed it by revealing his pick for the ‘fastest left armer over 30,
“Currently Ashish Nehra,” the cricketer-turned-commentator wrote.

Johnson did not buy it as he wrote: “His run-up is definitely faster.”

Johnson’s tweet was enough for the Indian fans to join the conversation as one fan wrote: “His line and length is much better than others.”

An adamant Johnson was still not ready to accept it, as he buried some stats to prove the fan wrong.

At the same time, Johnson made it clear that he and the others were just having some banter. However, it was not enough to pacify the Indian fans, as they came in swarms to troll the former Australia star.

38-year old Nehra got recalled into the Indian team for the ongoing three-match T20I series against Australia which surprised many. However, the veteran bowler with his performance in this year’s IPL has shown that he still has a lot to offer.
