On this week’s edition of Smackdown Live, the association between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens just got stronger. For the first time, Zayn was able to pin someone like Randy Orton, a 13-time world champion indicating a push reserved for him.
Plus, Zayn and Owens went on to blast Daniel Bryan to the surprise of the audience with his incapability of competing inside the ring. The WWE Universe left talking with the way some superstars going after Bryan with this issue in recent times. One such fan posted a quote from Zayn towards Bryan. The GM reacted quite interestingly on the post as you can see below.
“I’m still an in-ring performer. @WWEDanielBryan, you’re not anymore…until September” – Sami Zayn #SDLive

There were a plenty of actions stored once the main show went off the air. The number one contenders for the Smackdown tag team championships were seen in action before the show went on air. Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable teamed up with Tye Dillinger to take on the team of Mike Kanellis and The Colons. The babyface team picked up the win.

Also, a huge first-time match was stored following the show which was a real treat for the fans in attendance. On the main show of Smackdown Live, we have witnessed a confrontation between AJ Styles and Jinder Mahal. They locked horns for a singles match following the show.
It was a non-title bout where the Phenomenal One picked up the win to the much delight of the crowd. He connected with the phenomenal fore-arm on the Maharaja to pick up a clean pinfall win over the WWE Champion.

Sin Cara picked up a big win over the United States Champion, Baron Corbin on Smackdown Live via count-out. This might give a hint that the masked Luchador will receive a shot to the title in the upcoming weeks.
Following the show, Cara appeared in an interview segment on the Smackdown Fallout show to express his excitement. He wished to continue this momentum to get a shot at the US title shortly.
