Commentary and Harsha Bhogle go hand in hand in the Indian cricketing circle. The expert commentator has wowed the fans with his soothing commentary for close to three decades and have witnessed almost every major milestone in the history of Indian cricket from the close quarters. From seeing Sachin Tendulkar shattering nearly every batting record to Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s helicopter shot at the Wankhede, Bhogle has been witness to all the memorable spectacle that took place in India since the early 90s.
But despite that, it seems the 56-year old still cannot check his emotions as he could not hide his excitement when Virat Kohli hit a glorious straight drive off New Zealand’s Adam Milne in the ongoing first One-Day International at the Wankhede Stadium to reach his fifty. Milne bowled a full delivery, and the in-form Kohli did the rest by presenting the middle of his bat to the ball, and it went to the boundary like a tracer bullet.
The shot took Kohli to his half-century and as soon as the India skipper, playing his 200th ODI, reached the milestone, Bhogle, who is commentating in the game, seemed to have picked up his mobile phone to post a tweet in praise of the batsman. However, he too became a pray of the auto-correct as his tweet, which was perhaps posted in excitement, ended up something which he was surely not willing to say. The shot became ‘shit’ while the message was full of grammatical errors as Bhogle paid the price for being too excited.
“He might have had a life but it his has been a fine innings from Kohli. And the shit to get to 50 was sumptuous,” stated the tweet from one of the most reputed cricket commentators.

Bhogle, however, soon realised his mistake and posted yet another tweet to state the same.
“Haha! Caught out big time! Meant “shot to get to 50″ of course. Have a laugh on me!,” he tweeted.
