This week’s edition of Smackdown Live set up the tone for this year’s Survivor Series PPV into a different level. The team red vs. team blue war has received a new complexion with the new team captains chosen. Kurt Angle was announced from the flagship show whereas Shane McMahon added himself to the mix as the opponent team captain reigniting a former rivalry.
Also, we have received two big names into the Smackdown squad by virtue of two entertaining matches on the show. Bobby Roode won a match against Dolph Ziggler. Following the main show, the former NXT Champion might be celebrating for getting a PPV opportunity whereas the show-off was having a re-thinking of his career.

As told on the Smackdown fallout video, he is having a thought on dragging his less important career in the WWE. He is nor more existing in his prime and hence a career path evaluation path is a must for the former world champion.

On the other hand, Shinsuke Nakamura was quite excited to qualify for the traditional tag team contest at the last big PPV of the year. His inclusion will definitely give a big boost to team blue. Upon the conclusion of Smackdown, he expressed his excitement in an interview.

We also heard the reactions from Rusev who got an opportunity for the PPV. Next week, he will have a chance to advance to the Survivor Series PPV by winning a match against AJ Styles. This is a fresh matchup on the show that will keep the excitement on heading into the PPV.
There were two dark matches in store on last night’s show. In the first one, the women’s division participated in tag team contest. Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Naomi defeated Carmella, Tamina Snuka, and Natalya.

In the other one, Randy Orton and AJ Styles teamed up against the team of Sami Zayn and Jinder Mahal. The babyface team picked up the win to send the Norfolk, Virginia crowd home on a happy note.
