Moreover, the indefatigable chairman of the Board Najam Sethi has been at the forefront for the resumption of international cricket in Pakistan after cricketing activity was halted due to the political disturbance in the embattled country.
After the gruesome attack on Sri Lankan team bus at Liberty Chowk of Lahore in 2009, Pakistan is yet to host the Test at home since 2010.
However, Pakistan managed to adopt the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as its second home ground where they eventually tasted the success, particularly in the five-day format.
The fresh reports suggested T20 series more likely is going to be played at iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore which has also hosted the grand finale of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) between Darren Sammy-led Peshawar Zalmi and Sarfraz Ahmed’s Quetta Gladiators.

Owing to the successful tours which comprised of the four T20Is, Sethi has already given a green signal for the short tour, before the completion of World XI and Sri Lanka’s visit to Pakistan recently.
On the other side, the Windies team is bound to tour New Zealand and it’s expected they would dispatch the fringe players to Pakistan.
Windies will play two Tests, three One-day Internationals and an equivalent number of T20Is between December one and January three of 2018.

Interestingly, while witnessing the successful tours to Pakistan in the space of 50 days, the itinerary is expected to be released jointly in the coming week by PCB and WICB.
Earlier, the Windies cricket administration revealed they are mulling to fly to Pakistan if the ICC-led World XI tour would end on a high note.
As the most recent match was hosted on October 29 between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) released a statement by saying they were satisfied with the security arrangements and are looking forward to send Under-19 and A teams to Pakistan in near future.
Indeed, it’s a great opportunity for Pakistan after sending a message that country could host the international fixtures.

According to the reliable sources, the agreement with the Windies Cricket Board is expected to be finalised within ten days after Sri Lanka’s bilateral series against Pakistan culminated with the third and final T20 in Pakistan.
Earlier, the Lions players were reluctant to fly Pakistan which forced the SLC to announce Thisara Perera as a skipper for the three-match T20I series which further saw fringe players were inducted in the line-up.
It would be the fourth time in the year when an international team or players would feature in the gentleman’s game.
