We are less than two weeks away from from the Survivor Series PPV. As expected, multiple huge announcements were made for the buildup of the last dual brand PPV of the year. It caused in big changes in the match card of the event.
There were some alterations made to the lineups, as multiple superstars’ names were added to the traditional tag team matches at the 30th edition of the annual PPV. Plus, two main events on both Raw and Smackdown witnessed title changes making a huge alteration to the lineups for the event.
This past edition of the flagship show that took place from Manchester, England witnessed a championship match in the main event. The former reigning Raw tag champs, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose were forced to defend their titles against the Bar.
Via a distraction from the New Day that indicated another Raw invasion angle, Sheamus was able to deliver a Brogue Kick on Rollins to become the new champions setting up a new match against The Usos.
On Smackdown Live, the WWE Championship was on the line between Jinder Mahal and AJ Styles. The latter one was able to deliver a phenomenal forearm to the former champion to become the new champion. It changed the main event of the Survivor Series PPV, as AJ Styles will now take on Brock Lesnar.
The male team from Raw for the traditional tag team match also finalised. Earlier, Kurt Angle and Braun Strowman were declared to be the first two competitors from the flagship show, whereas, three more names were added to the mix. Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, and Jason Jordan got the opportunity to represent the flagship brand.
The women’s team from WWE Raw had a couple of names added to it, as well. Asuka joined the team that already had Alicia Fox and Nia Jax in it. On the other hand, Sasha banks was chosen over Bayley to represent the Raw women’s division that might have caused a rift between the two of them. With that being said, the women’s team from Raw has only one spot to be filled up, whereas, the entire team from Smackdown is announced.
