According to the latest report from Squawka, Real Madrid are in talks with Arsenal over a potential move for shot stopper David Ospina. The 26-year old is looking unsettled at the Emirates with the transfer of Petr Cech earlier this month.

Real Madrid has failed in their pursuit to bring Manchester United’s David de Gea as the 24-year old looks likely to remain at Old Trafford next season. de Gea is actively participating in pre-season tour of Manchester United amid Louis van Gaal’s sensational comments on Valdes.

Ospina has been a revelation last season for Arsenal as he became No.1 at Emirates last season and helped the Gunnners reach 3rd position in the league as they have been the best team in england during 2015 after a slow start to the season.

The 26-year Colombian continued his amazing form to Copa America becoming one of the best keepers in the tournament as he won plaudits from all over the world.

The player has drawn interest from Everton as he tipped a transfer may be possible and rumours suggested that Valencia are also keen to land the shot stopper. However, Florentino Perez wants to sign the player to replace club legend Iker Casillas who moved to Porto last week.

Real Madrid only has Keylor Navas as a recognizable keeper in their roster. Should the deal happen, it would be remembered as one of the shocking transfers as he moves from Arsenal bench to Real Madrid starting with a huge contract.
