Manchester City have beaten AS Roma 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal time in a friendly match in the International Champions Cup.

AS Roma  had beaten Real Madrid in the tournament on 18th July on penalties after 0-0 draw.

The two team line ups were-

Manchester City starting XI:

Caballero, Sagna, Kompany, Mangala, Clichy, Fernando, Zuculini, Manuel Garcia, David Silva, Raheem Sterling, Iheanacho

AS Roma starting XI:

De Sanctis, Florenzi, Malolas, Romagnoli, Torosidis, Pjanci, De Rossi, Ucan, Iturbe, Totti, Gervinho

Raheem Sterling had a debut to remember as scored on the third minute.

The lead was not sustained for a long time as Bosnia and Herzegovina international Miralem Pjanic scored a beautiful goal from long range on the 8th minute.

It was a 30 yard screamer into the top corner.

City made 9 half time changes with the likes of Kolarov, Hart, Navas, Nasri coming on.

Roma also made 8 half time substitutions with the likes of Nainggolan, Castan, Destro, Maicon coming on.

Young striker Iheanacho gave City a lead on the 51st minute and Adem Ljajic again equalised on 87th minute from a beautiful free kick.

The match went to penalties and City won 5-4 with Doumbia and Keita missing for the Italian side.
