Bayern Munich President Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has dismissed all rumours circulating regarding Thomas Muller’s transfer to Manchester United. He has clarified that they would not sell their star attcker to the Premier League giants.

It was reported earlier that Manchester United have placed an ambitious and huge of €100 million for the German international and might lure his services in this season.

Manchester United are in pursuit of a world class striker who would bolster their squad. The Red Devils have a fantastic midfield but lack a marquee defender and a striker. Their Dutch manager Louis van Gaal had said that would make a ‘surprise’ signing in this summer transfer window.

Speaking to German sports magazine Kicker, Rummenigge described United’s bid as a “a flying duck over the ocean.” He completely rejected the idea of Muller joining United this summr.

Manchester United have already roped in Bayern Munich’s star midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger earlier in this month. They have a brilliant midfield to boast but poor defense and strike force.

Star strikers like Thomas Muller, Edinson Cavani, Robert Lewandowski and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are strongly linked with the club in this transfer window. It will be interesting to see what actually happens to Thomas Muller transfer saga.
