Vidal, 28 is regarded as one of the best box-to-box midfield players in current time and was heavily targetted by Premier League clubs Arsenal and Manchester United. There were reports that Premier League clubs were offering more money for him than the Bundesliga Champions but Juventus and Vidal both chose Germany over England.
Vidal will join the likes of Xabi Alonso, Mario Gotze and Thiago Alcantara as the midfield options available to Pep Guardiola and given the dynamic nature of playing style Guardiola has, Vidal will be an instant impact at Allianz Arena.
It has also been confirmed that Vidal will wear the number 23 jersey at his new club as it was confirmed at his unveiling. Vidal is coming off a hugely successful season as the Chilean won his third Serie A title in a row, appeared in the Champions League final and went on to win the Copa America 2015 title.
With such an experience, Vidal will add to the exisiting strength of the team and will help the club retain their league title and do well in Europe.
