After coming up with back-to-back great episodes, this week’s WWE Raw suffered a lack of significant names on the show and turned out to be a dull one, instead.
Due to Survivor Series, big names around the company stuck around the scene to make the show a success for the last couple of weeks. But, this week, they went on a hiatus including the regular names like Dean Ambrose and Sheamus.
Unlike the fire-cracking opening segments from these past weeks, this week witnessed was a decent one with Roman Reigns cutting a promo for his Intercontinental Championship win. With all the names that were expected to be the surprise challengers for his open challenge, Elias was declared as his opponent, and the fans were not pleased.
Decent opener. It’s not as loud as it was last week, but the positive reaction for Reigns has carried over a bit. Whether that sticks beyond this temporary distraction on his road to Lesnar at #WrestleMania remains to be seen. Looking forward to seeing how Elias performs. #RAW

Paige continued her momentum on WWE Raw ever since the return. It was expected that the creative team would reserve stronger segments for her on the show and it turned out to be the same. The new name added to the faction is quite catchy, and they continued to dominate the scene by attacking the members of the female roster.
Not a bad follow-up to the Paige return last week. I like Paige’s explanation for her turn – classic heel stuff. Still, the “Absolution” name sounds like it needs to be reworked. Kind of reminds me of the ill-fated “Team PCB” name from a while back. #RAW

The interesting part of last night’s WWE Raw witnessed a confirmed clue of Matt Hardy turning into the Broken persona. After suffering the loss at the hands of Bray Wyatt, his weird actions were the clues that he is bringing back the popular gimmick in WWE, as well.
However, only time will tell if it can have the same effect on the crowd, as it did back at the Impact Wrestling promotion.
Roman Reigns and Elias had a fantastic matchup that over-delivered to the expectations. After performing so well against the franchise player of the company, Elias can certainly expect big things lines up for him.
Braun Strowman’s return was a bit anticlimactic. Strowman got his retribution on Kane for nearly killing him quite a few times now. Why continue this? Kane’s return has been largely a total miss. It’ll only serve to hurt Strowman. #RAW

The final segment was quite lame with Finn Balor suffering the wrath of Kane, once again. It showed his push is over, for now. Braun Strowman seeking his redemption expectedly happened, and it fell short, too. Check out what the Twitter-verse has to say about last night’s WWE Raw.
