The situations among the authority figures on both Raw and Smackdown have been volatile for quite sometimes. The buildup for Survivor Series started all of these with the PPV itself creating huge differences against each other.
On WWE Raw, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H returned just because the PPV event to start a storyline against Kurt Angle. His job as the general manager of the company was on the line at the traditional 5-on-5 elimination matchup. In the meantime, Triple H inserted himself as the fifth member of the team.
During the match, The Game turned on Angle by hitting a pedigree on him. It was the initial hint of an upcoming bout between these two veterans in the business. Eventually, the cerebral assassin was one of the two sole survivors from his team by eliminating the last man, Shane McMahon from the match.
On Smackdown Live, there’s a friction ongoing between Shane and Daniel Bryan ever since Raw was put to under siege. It has been going on with each episode progressing by. Bryan was not happy for suffering the wrath of Kane while apologising on behalf of his brand and showed his frustrations on the commissioner.
Apparently, a huge storyline might be in store with power struggle at behind the scenes. It will feature Triple H and Stephanie working against Kurt Angle and Shane McMahon in the future.
Cagesideseats.com was the one to hint this stating that Daniel Bryan will be involved in it, too.
The Olympic Gold Medalist will not be happy with the antics pulled off by the power couple of the WWE. So, he would start working with Shane-O-Mac during the Wrestlemania season. The interesting part is that Stephanie will try to recruit Daniel Bryan as the Raw general manager which will eventually turn the fan favourite into a heel one.
In case you have not noticed, Stephanie McMahon had a segment with Daniel Bryan where she informed that is Shane is out of the scene, the GM will be in sole charge of Smackdown. It was an indication that the Raw commissioner was trying to grab Bryan under their banner. We will have to wait and see whether the most popular superstar eventually turns heel, at one point with this storyline ongoing.
