WWE: What to Expect From This Week’s Smackdown Live: December 5th, 2017 1

Just two weeks are remaining for the last PPV event of the year hosted by Smackdown Live, Clash of Champions. The blue brand has certainly hyped-up the scene by announcing three huge championship matches, last week to fill up the match card. With that being said, the buildups around the contests will continue on this week’s Smackdown, as they will look forward to hosting a successful PPV.

Some major fallouts are needed to be addressed on this week’s show en route to the PPV event that might declare a couple of more matches for the main event. WWE has their roster in the state of California, right now. Hence, tonight’s show will be hosted by the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California.

Last week’s Smackdown ended in the midst of controversies, as Sami Zayn interfered during the No Disqualification match between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens despite being barred from the ringside. However, he appeared on the ramp to attack Orton which means he was ‘technically’ not at the ringside area.

However, there should be massive repercussions stored for him on tonight’s show as per fallouts. He is expected to get pitted against Shinsuke Nakamura who is lately acting as the counterpart of the Viper on the blue brand. Orton, himself will also look forward to seeking retribution, as well against Zayn.

This particular rivalry is also supposed to take the conflict between Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon to the limit on this week’s Smackdown Live. The commissioner was about to fire the duo from the show, whereas, the GM saved their job. However, they managed to overcome the odds with their dirty games, all the time. Hence, Shane is not expected to be in a good mood, at all.

Last week, Jinder Mahal attacked his own partners, The Singh Brothers, out of frustration following their handicapped match against AJ Styles. This raised the questions whether the partnership is over among them. We will find out the answers tonight, as Jinder looks forward to claiming his title back at the Clash of Champions PPV.

With the new championship matches announced, the storylines will be built around them. Dolph Ziggler will be included in the mix to make things interesting, whereas, The New Day will be involved in the tag team title picture, yet again. Tonight, Bobby Roode is announced to take on Baron Corbin, whereas, The New Day will take on Rusev and Aiden English in a tag team matchup.

Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder will be setting up a singles match for Clash of Champions between them after breaking up as a tag team, last week.

In the women’s division, the Riott Squad will continue to keep the momentum in their favour by going up against Charlotte Flair. In the meantime, Natalya will try to take advantage of this situation to create some momentum while getting her title rematch at the Clash of Champions. Charlotte is scheduled to face Tamina in a singles match, tonight.
