Austin Aries leaving the WWE was quite a shocking incident for the WWE fans. He was one of the best recruits that WWE had grabbed from their rival promotion, TNA Impact Wrestling, last year. He debuted as part of the NXT roster, but soon he ended up being a part of the Cruiserweight division. The newer roster needed some big names to sell the 205 Live show on WWE Network. A-Double was the ideal name that the company might have been looking for. Plus, he turned out to be the perfect opponent for the King of the Cruiserweights, Neville.

However, after a couple of failed opportunities, he announced his departure from the WWE. It was a huge surprise, and the fans started to speculate the real reason behind it. The previous reports suggested he was not happy with his booking in the Cruiserweight division and hence decided to part ways.
It was also revealed there might be a backstage altercation that forced him to leave. In the midst of all these speculations, Austin Aries joined MVP’s podcast and went on to discuss the topic. He also revealed the exact reason for the same.
As per his statements, he wanted to take some time off to heal the injuries that he is dealing with. It was the main reason for his departure. He also included his plans includes he will not feature into in-ring competition for quite a while.
While speaking of the backstage heat, Aries revealed he does not know about any heat that he has been part with any superstars in the WWE locker room. His non-compete agreement with the company ends on October 5th, after which he might decide to take a further step for his wrestling career.
