WWE Rumour: Two Main Event Stars from Impact Wrestling Joining WWE 1

It was at the beginning of the year 2017 when a plethora of names left the Impact Wrestling promotion for its distressed condition. Several names from the list joined the big league of WWE, later. Names like Matt and Jeff Hardy, Drew McIntyre, Mika and Maria Kanellis and more to make it to the biggest pro-wrestling promotion of the world.

The condition of Impact Wrestling has deteriorated in recent times. They tried to create a joint venture with GFW which failed just after the association began that made the promotion a joke to the IWC (internet-wrestling community). It also made the promotion owners getting financially weak that might lead to another bunch of names who might leave the Impact Wrestling roster, soon.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter has given an update to it stating that Bobby Lashley and Ethan Carter aka EC3’s contract will be up with the promotion at the beginning of 2018. It is likely that both of them will not be seen under the banner, anymore since they are not willing to resign.

The veteran journalist also claimed that at least one of them is likely to join the WWE brand. In particular, EC3 is almost guaranteed to finalise a deal with WWE unless he decides to renegotiate with his current employer, and reaches to deal that satisfies him. But, under the current circumstances in the Impact Wrestling, it is unlikely to happen.

In case you don’t know, both of them are former WWE Superstars. EC3 is known for his stint on NXT, as an emerging superstar. After a short stint in the developmental brand, he decided to sign a contract with the Impact Wrestling promotion where he received a tremendous push. At one point, he was the franchise player of the company and a member of the Carter family who was former owners of the brand.

Lashley, on the other hand, is a known face to the WWE fans. He was a bonafide performer on the main roster for a significant part of last decade. He held the mid-card championships on a couple of occasions before parting ways and sign with the rival brand. He was able to become the world champion, there for multiple times from 2015 to 2017.
