As earlier reported The Undertaker would return to live TV programming of the WWE on the upcoming 25th anniversary of Monday Night Raw. The episode will be a historic one to be hosted on January 22nd at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Numerous legends have been confirmed to appear on the show, but the Phenome resurfacing is the headliner.
It will be his first-ever appearance following the loss that he suffered at the hands of Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 33. Once that loss occurred, he decided to leave his in-ring gears inside the ring indicating that his days, as a WWE performer might be over. The internet speculated for months to come around his future but till date failed to get some.
Recently, positive updates have been surfaced regarding Taker’s career and his come back on the WWE Raw 25th anniversary. According to Wrestling News Source, The Deadman won’t be appearing on the show ‘just to wave and say hello’. Rather, he will involve in some angles to start this year’s Wrestlemania angle.
WWE creative team does think that Undertaker has at least one more match left inside him. There was certain jeopardy over his career after undergoing the hip surgery following Wrestlemania. But, since he is moving better than before, we can certainly expect him to compete, once again. The source did not disclose who is the potential target is going to be, this time around.

Another update from GiveMeSport.com suggested the Undertaker is in contract with the WWE for multiple years from now,
“The fact that he is taking bookings through the WWE brings us to our next point – ‘Taker is still under contract with the company for another four years. one-half of the Brothers of Destruction has four years to go on his $1.75 Million, part-time deal with the company.
While he could run that down doing sporadic appearances (like SD Live ahead of Survivor Series last year) and gigs like his pending date at Comic-Con, the fact that his retirement has not been announced is significant.”
We have to wait until WWE Raw’s 25th anniversary to see what’s exactly is in-store for the Undertaker in future. He might be coming after Roman Reigns while seeing revenge, whereas, the ending match with John Cena might come to fruition in the near future.
