WWE News: Bubba Rey Dudley To Appear On Raw 25 Despite Being A ROH Superstar 1

The 25th anniversary of WWE Raw is almost upon us. The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and the Manhattan Center in NYC will be co-hosting the show for the first time. On January 22nd, the grand celebration will be thrown by the WWE with numerous WWE stars from past and present gracing the show. The legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Ted DiBiase etc. will be gracing the show.

Another legendary name announced for the occasion was of Bubba Rey Dudley. Alongside him, D Von Dudley will also be present on the show reforming the Dudley Boyz who is often being referred as the greatest tag team of all time.
For a greater part of the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Era, these two went on to glorify the tag team division with their famous moves and titles reigns So, these two appearing on the flagship show is indeed the recreation of nostalgia for the fans.

However, we need to remember that Bubba Rey Dudley works for another wrestling promotion nowadays named Ring of Honor aka ROH. So, this appearance was said to be creating a rift between WWE and ROH. It is evident that WWE or any other promotion does not allow their employees to show up on a show hosted by the rival promotion. So, Bubba’s appearance came as a major shocker.

However, reports from PWInsider.com suggested that the case is exactly opposite, at this time. The ROH officials do not have any obligations to send the veteran superstar to the WWE for one night only. Rather, they are quite positive about the appearance.

“Ring of Honor is looking at this appearance as something that could give them much more exposure and so the company is looking at it from a positive perspective rather than a conflicting one.”

In case you don’t know, after leaving the WWE in 2016, Bubba Rey Dudley joined the ROH. As per the recent reports, he is inching closer to the end of his career under their banner. D-Von, on the other hand, is still working in the WWE as a backstage official. So, there’s no problem with the latter one’s presence on the show.
