Daniel Bryan confirmed a WWE Championship match at the upcoming Royal Rumble PPV. For two consecutive weeks, AJ Styles had two singles matches against the best friends, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. As expected, the heels came up with a number of shenanigans around the ring and thus pulled off shocking victories over the champion.
Thus, they both earned the right to have a championship opportunity. So, the WWE Smackdown General Manager did not hesitate to give the heel title opportunity, as he announced a two-on-one handicapped match over the WWE Championship. It means that Styles will be forced to defend his title in such a capacity where the odds are stacked against him, highly.
Recently, a report from stillrealtous.com gave an update on the brewing situation around the most prestigious championship present in the pro-wrestling industry, today. Furthermore, it was also revealed that there will be a huge twist in store for the title match at the first dual-brand PPV of the year.

According to the source, Kevin Owens will turn on his best friend during this championship match. This will allow either him to win the title or AJ to retain on that night. Going forward, these two Canadians will go against each other, yet again. It might also culminate a match at Wrestlemania 34, as well. Check out the updates from the source,
“Wrestling fans know that Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have a very long and interesting history together, and they’ve switched from being friends to enemies several times, so it seems that it’s only a matter of time before their friendship falls apart again.
With WrestleMania season right around the corner, it will be interesting to see what’s planned for Zayn and Owens, and who ends up playing the heel if their feud is rekindled.”
The WWE fans are well aware of the bitter rivalry that Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens had in their entire career. Even before coming to the company, they had wrestled against each other in the name of El Generico and Kevin Steen, respectively. The feud was renewed on the NXT roster, whereas, they were at it again on the main roster, as well. So, a proper culmination of this saga might be evident at the biggest stage of them all.
