Later, WWE.com acknowledged the injury with an official update:

“WWE.com can now confirm Fox has suffered a broken tailbone, known as a coccygeal fracture.

“It’s a devastating setback for the eccentric Superstar, who had an opportunity to make history at Royal Rumble. She was also set to team with Goldust in the fourth week of the Facebook Watch–exclusive Mixed Match Challenge in a first-round bout against Jimmy Uso & Naomi.”

As you can see, the superstar has also been pulled off from the Mixed Match Challenge contest that is hosted on Facebook Watch on every Tuesday following Smackdown Live.

Goldust received her as the partner and they were scheduled to face a team from Smackdown on February 6th.

But, Kurt Angle has confirmed that since Foxy is not medically fit to compete, Goldust will have the opportunity to choose his own partner in this ongoing contest that takes place on the social media, in a live format.

However, no update was available as for how long the former women’s champion Fox will be out of action. It is assumed that at least a few months will be needed to recuperate from this injury.

WWE officials had to hire an NXT star to cover up her absence. According to wrestlingINC.com, Kairi Sane received the opportunity to replace her and performed in the historic Rumble match.
