Stephanie McMahon is one of the constant names in the WWE for the past couple of decades. Ever since her debut on live TV almost 20 years ago, she has been a constant name who worked for the company, tirelessly which is the reason why WWE has become the global brand that it is today.
She alongside her husband, Triple H are considered to be the main reason as of why the company has been able to garner the mainstream attention. As for her TV role is concerned, she is acting as the commissioner for the flagship show of the company, WWE Raw.
Whenever she appears on the scene, things get heated up considering that she is not someone to be messing around with.
When it comes to playing a heel character, superstars should follow her since no one does it better than her. However, she was not supposed to be in that way if the debut was any indication.
Back in 1998, we saw the first glimpse of the daughter of the Boss as a sweet teenager who was just excited to be present on the flagship program.
Recently, the billion dollar princess talked to the Mirror Online about the very-first appearance on Monday Night Raw. She was included as an extra on the show who shared a scene with the legendary Stone Cold Steve Austin he asked her whether she had seen where The Undertaker was.
Check out the comments from Stephanie revisiting the moment:
“So really I just happened to be at the right place at the right time and I got thrown into that scene. It wasn’t a strategic decision for Stephanie McMahon, Vince’s daughter, to make her debut on television. I was really just an extra in the moment. And it was incredible. I mean to be a part of the show, with Austin? That was certainly a memorable moment for me.”
The former women’s champion was also asked about her favorite moment from WWE Raw programming when she brought up the segment where she announced the first-ever all-women Royal Rumble match. Being the cornerstone of the ongoing Women’s Evolution, it was a right decision by the officials to let her announce this path-breaking match.
Speaking of the reason for the same she stated that she had the honor of representing the entire female division during the segment:
“I had the chance to acknowledge the women in the ring, the women on Monday Night Raw, the women on SmackDown LIVE, the women on NXT and any woman to ever step foot inside a wrestling ring, regardless of what promotion they worked for, because they are all a part of this moment in time, they are all a part of making it happen.”
She also noted about the female superstars breaking their characters on that night which was a conscious decision.
The women knew that she would appear in the ring but they were still unknown about the announcement that was going to be made.
So, the Royal Rumble match confirmation let them express the real feelings on that night.
