WWE News: New Championship Match Added To Elimination Chamber

The match card for Elimination Chamber might have been a bit thin before this week’s WWE Raw. But, one added championship match to the card have stacked it up to a certain extent. A title match was missing from the PPV event apart from the actual chamber matches confirmed on the night.

For the past couple of weeks, the reigning tag team champions on WWE Raw did not have a confirmed opponent. Seth Rollins is no more in a tag team since Jason Jordan is injured and will miss the Wrestlemania season. So, it was expected that a new name would be considered for the number one contender’s spot.

The Revival was supposed to the favorite to reserve the spot since they have all the momentums by their side. They defeated Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, last week to prove their dominance. Hence, Kurt Angle should have chosen them with an announcement.

However, the storyline development showed something unlikely as the Titus Worldwide was back into the mix. The team formed with Apollo and Titus competed in a match against The Bar in a non-title match. To the much shock to the fans and the champs, Apollo picked up the win via a simple roll-up. This was for the third time that Titus Worldwide defeated the champions.

So, going forward, they challenged Sheamus and Cesaro in a championship match on the Elimination Chamber PPV. Afterwards, it was confirmed by wrestlingINC.com that the match would happen on this Sunday’s event. It is not clear whether this will take place on the main card or on the pre-show.
