Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn used to be best friends for the better part of their lives.
They grew up together in Canada as the two buddies. This friendship turned into a bitter rivalry once they entered the pro-wrestling world. Even before they signed a contract with the WWE, there was serious bad blood between them.
It just continued growing over the feud that picked up back in the NXT days. They tore each other during that time and came up to the main roster with the same goal in mind. Both tried to pull down themselves from their spots costing in matches. The same was reserved for the blue brand, too.
However, the scene changed at the Hell in a Cell PPV where Sami Zayn helped Kevin Owens to win a cage match against Shane McMahon.
This caused a renewal of their friendship, out of nowhere. These two continued to be the focal point of Smackdown Live building a rivalry against AJ Styles. Daniel Bryan was on their side helping these two, throughout.
But, in recent times the equation had changed, once again since both of them are gunning for the WWE Championship, individually. They will compete in the six-pack championship main event match to snatch the WWE title and go into the grandest stage of them all with it around the waist.
Perhaps this is going to begin their feud, once again. This time around, it will culminate a mega match at Wrestlemania 34. According to the reports of Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn is almost certain to happen. The upcoming plot of this match will be set up at Fastlane PPV.

“Obviously if they are going to do something they will do the big tease on March 11th. They aren’t going to be going at each other or splitting up before March 11th; I don’t think.”
It is almost certain that this match is happening at Wrestlemania. With lack of superstars available on the Smackdown brand, the officials might not be left with too many options. Furthermore, a rivalry like this will also get a huge platform to get culminated.
