WWE News: Blood And Piledrivers Banned from Wrestlemania 1

Wrestlemania is the biggest event of the year hosted by the WWE. It is not only limited to the world of pro-wrestling anymore.

The company had tried a lot to make it more mainstream and achieved success in doing so. So, it has now become a global phenomenon and one of the largest programs in the entire world.

With that being said, the company arranges the best things for this particular show. It is eyed to entertain the fans who gather to attend the program from all around the world.

Nowadays, the Wrestlemania week has grown even bigger with Hall of Fame, NXT Takeover and the Axxess shows in-store in the same week.

The fans can expect to see the most spectacular thing happening in the matches which are hosted in this evening. But, if the recent reports are any indication then certain things that make the program much exciting might be banned.

According to the reports from stillrealtous.com, the state of Louisiana has banned blood and piledrivers in the live events. Hence, these things might not be allowed to take place at Wrestlemania 34. Check out the quotes from the source,

“John Pollock is reporting (via the Wrestling Observer Newsletter) that due to regulations imposed by the Louisiana Boxing and Wrestling Commission blood and piledrivers are banned from all wrestling shows in the state. The commission is set to have a meeting on March 7th to determine whether or not the Canadian Destroyer is considered a piledriver.”

There is no issue with blood being banned since WWE has converted their programming into PG which is why it has already been banned. But, the concern is with the piledriver move which is the finisher for The Undertaker. We can’t imagine him competing in a marquee match at ‘Mania and not planting his opponent with his iconic finishing move.

However, the source clarified the clause put by the state is not likely to be a big deal for the company. They are likely to agree before the show which is Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggested there will be a few piledrivers in-store in The Undertaker’s match. There’s no way that we could imagine the legendary names with the move that he made famous in the pro-wrestling ring.
