Arsenal visits Leicester City in a crucial game week 6 encounter on Saturday, 26th September.

Arsenal is at the moment brimming with confidence after their win against arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the midweek in the Capitol One Cup. But they have to keep in mind that they are facing a very strong unit under Claudio Ranieri who are the only team in Premier League who are unbeaten.

Leicester City is currently placed above the Gunners.

Speaking ahead of the important match, Arsene Wenger gave a detail information about the injury concerns which the club have at the moment.

He was quoted: “Coquelin is progressing well, but he will not be available for Leicester. He has a scan today, but the evolution is quite positive. He might start practice tomorrow. He has a little chance for Tuesday and a bigger chance for Man United. It is very difficult to be definite today.”

On Wilshere, Welbeck and Rosicky, the Gunners boss added: “They are all doing well. Jack just had surgery so at the moment he cannot do anything. Danny is doing well, Tomas Rosicky as well.

“Wilshere’s operation was very successful and touch wood hopefully all goes well now.”

Arsene Wenger was questioned about a crucial away game against Leicester and he is going to tackle it. Wenger said:  “It is difficult, but I must say that our away record has been great. We do not go into these games feeling that we have too much of a handicap because we have done extremely well away from home.

“If you look at our results away from home, they are among the best and I think we have been the best away from home. That shows we have the mental qualities. In these two games, we played with 10 men under very unfortunate circumstances.

“We showed what fighting is about on Wednesday night because the game was more about commitment and mental resources than fluency. That’s what we showed on Wednesday.

“It keeps us in all the competitions and that is something that is a very positive feeling. It shows that we have a big squad at a very strong level and I have always considered that because I have confidence in every single player.”

Arsene Wenger was asked about his team’s midweek performance to which he responded, “Flamini has shown what a character he is. He has used his frustration in a positive way.

“It shows we have a strong squad. I have great confidence in these players.

“We showed how to fight on Wednesday night. The game was about commitment and mental resources which we showed.”

On Alexis Sanchez, he opined: “It takes time to settle and come back to your best. I’m not worried about Alexis Sanchez and I’m confident he will score.”

Gabriel Paulista is ruled out of action after he was shown a red card last week against Chelsea. Even though the decision was unfortunate, Wenger had criticised the player for such an act.

On Paulista Wenger said: “He was sorry about what had happened. He is a fighter. In training, he was completely focused.”
