The opening segment of the Fastlane PPV witnessed a singles match between Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev. This was a below average match considering that there was no buildup of the contest. The only thing that helped them was a good reaction for both the superstars. Nakamura could not miss a PPV heading into Wrestlemania main event. Hence, he had to win this filler match to keep some momentum with him.
Randy Orton winning the United States Championship was a pretty interesting move, as well. It was unpredictable but not shocking considering Orton is Vince McMahon’s favourite. This is the Wrestlemania season, and hence The Viper should not sit out of the equation of any one of the title picture. The match was a brutal match between the two elite competitors. Plus, Jinder Mahal’s appearance confirmed the upcoming triple threat contest at Wrestlemania.
Outside of the fun setup for the RKO finish, that was an absolutely brutal match between Randy Orton and Bobby Roode tonight, really weird way to lay that match out and let it go as long as it did #WWEFastlane

The women’s tag team action at Fastlane turned out to be pretty fun with Carmella’s antics in between the match. This lady picked up the pinfall win which might help her to a good extent while gearing up for Money in the Bank cash-in. The other tag team match was an average one, too. The audience loved the way the Bludgeon Brothers came out and delivered the massive beatdown on all the competitors.
Decent tag match between Carmella/Natalya vs. Naomi/Becky Lynch, Carmella is a very entertaining heel with her constant screaming and yelling #WWEFastlane

Charlotte Flair retaining the women’s championship at Fastlane was pretty much evident. However, the match over-delivered to a certain extent. All the Riott Squad members were lurking around the ringside creating distractions. Also, Becky Lynch and Naomi came down as an equaliser that never allowed the match to be a bore-fest. It was also good to set up the Asuka vs Charlotte Flair match from Smackdown Live at Wrestlemania.
Really good title match between Charlotte Flair and Ruby Riott tonight, enjoyed the ringside distractions to setup the finish, love them having Asuka walk out immediately after Charlotte’s win to setup the #WrestleMania challenge #WWEFastlane

The main event match at the Fastlane PPV was an incredible one with six men pulling all the stops in the match. Also, Shane McMahon’s involvement in the contest by digesting a super-kick from Owens added more thrill to the match. The finish was more than impressive as AJ Styles came out of nowhere and flew into Owens with a phenomenal forearm. The crowd marked out and went home on a happy note after learning that the dream match is intact at Wrestlemania.
Hell of a main event tonight with all six men involved, they really put this one together nicely including the outside stuff involving Shane McMahon, absolutely loved the finish with Styles appearing out of no where with the flying forearm to retain tonight #WWEFastlane
