The Undertaker resurfaced on WWE Raw by appearing on the 25th anniversary on the show.
This was his first appearance since Wrestlemania 33 after the loss he suffered at the hands of Roman Reigns. Following that incident, it was spread all over the internet that his career was over. Leaving all his in-ring gears inside the ring fuelled the same over the due course.
However, no confirmation was made by the company in the past regarding the issue which is why the speculations kept on going that he will feature in one more match at the biggest event of the year. The recent reports added he is good to go at this point which is why the creative team is planning a match at Wrestlemania 34.
But, the Raw 25 appearance did confirm nothing. Undertaker’s confusing promo left all of us wondering what that meant, as he only stated the opponents he defeated should rest in peace.
No storyline angle was created on that night to build up his upcoming match at Wrestlemania.
Following this appearance, Undertaker was spotted at the Royal Rumble weekend in Philadelphia letting the rumours begin about potential involvement in the prestigious battle royal. The initial target was supposed to be John Cena to plant the seeds of this dream match for the fans. However, the reality was far different.
According to the reports from stillrealtous.com, the Deadman was present at the backstage of Royal Rumble to support his wife, Michelle McCool who competed in the women’s Royal Rumble match. Being a former women’s champion, McCool had spent a good time in the match eliminating multiple superstars from the contest.
There was no development found for ‘Taker’s storyline by the officials, as well, stated by the source,
“It was recently reported that WWE officials are hoping to book a big match for Undertaker at WrestleMania 34, but Taker apparently gave no real indication as to what his plans are for the event while he was backstage.”
The Phenome was seen on the WWE Network special following the Royal Rumble event where the footages showed that he was talking about the end of his career. He was concerned about his hip surgery and unaware of what the future holds for him.
