The infamous ‘Sandpaper Gate’ consumed the cricketing community worldwide. The harsh penalties imposed on the disgraced trio of Australian cricket raised quite a few eyebrows off-late.
However, England, apparently, is enjoying the spoils of war, be it with their Barmy Army or the English press.
The Barmy Army took the lighter side of the ball-tampering row and asked none other than Ross Taylor to sign on sandpaper to mock the entire episode.

This is not the first time such occasion took place in the field of play. During the fourth day of the memorable Cape Town Test, Nathan Lyon was asked to sign on sandpaper by a young South African spectator.
Barmy Army, asked one of the member of the New Zealand side, Australia’s Trans-Tasman rivals, to execute the prank.
The incident occurred during the first day of the second Test match between England and New Zealand at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch.

A snippet of the footage was tweeted by an English fan present in the vicinity. Ross Taylor was seen quickly signing on the paper and throwing it back to get back to his fielding position. Meanwhile, rest of the spectator burst into laughter.
