In case you have followed the Mae Young Classic tournament, you must have noticed the presence of the four-horsewomen of the UFC promotion.
The prominent two names featuring in it were Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler who was rumoured to sign a contract with the WWE and potentially to build up a huge match against the four-horsewomen of the WWE.
In the midst of wild rumours, WWE confirmed the signing of Shayna Baszler. Once the Mae Young Classic was over, the Queen of Spades officially penned the contract to get onboard on the NXT brand.
After spending some time at the developmental territory at Orlando, Florida, she got included in the NXT Women’s Championship picture, in late 2017.
Shayna Baszler signing the WWE deal should have been a huge indication that Ronda Rousey was actually heading to the same way. However, it was clear from Baszler’s recent quotes she had no whatsoever clues of what was going to happen with her friend.
In a recent interview session, one of the members of the former UFC ‘four horsewomen’ faction opened up about Ronda Rousey. It was thought that being good friends, she must have known about her friend joining the same brand. But, as per her quotes she was kept in the dark, completely, as WWE officials wanted to wrap things up, completely.

“I was just as surprised as everyone else; she kept that from all of us. Because, in her own words, she wanted us to feel the genuine excitement that the rest of the world felt. We worked hard to get where we’re at – all of us – so to see her genuinely happy and finally getting to soak in that reward is great.”
The woman who is hunting the NXT Women’s Championship has also spoken about the future of the UFC behemoth who arrived back at the Royal Rumble PPV to shock the world. According to her, this woman will be as successful as she was in UFC,
“I’ve known Ronda for awhile and everything she decides to do she dives head-first one-hundred percent into. So, I have no doubt she’ll be just as dominant in WWE as she’s been at everything else.”
