A strong buildup was made for the Intercontinental Championship match at Wrestlemania from WWE Raw.
The Miz has been a dominant champion who made this title, a prestigious one. So, a marquee match for him at the biggest event was evident. But also, the job was made tougher for him.
Finn Balor and Seth Rollins were able to pin the champion on separate occasions which earned them the rights to compete in the Intercontinental Championship match. So, it turned out to be a huge triple threat encounter at the grandest stage of them all.

Furthermore, a couple of matches were hosted between Finn Balor and Seth Rollins in the past weeks which created a rift between these two, as well.
Undoubtedly, these two are the best in-ring athletes which is why a 5-star rated match was expected.

After the mind-boggling entrances, the match was no different with manoeuvres from the three superstars, all around. Rollins went for the Falcon Arrow, but Miz came back with a skull-crushing final for the pin, almost.
Meanwhile, Finn Balor delivered a Coup De Grace on both of them after another super skull-crushing finale off the top rope.

But, it was Seth Rollins who was right back with two back-to-back Curb Stomps on Finn Balor and The Miz.
Rollins pinned The Miz to win his first Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania 34. He went for a unique celebration by swinging the title after becoming the latest member of the WWE Grand Slam Champions’ club. All the three members of The Shield are now the members of the same club.
