Smackdown GM, Daniel Bryan was cleared to come back to in-ring actions at Wrestlemania 34.
It was before the biggest event of the year when the WWE doctors finally let him enter the ring, once again for a fight. He teamed up with Shane McMahon to take on against the two bonafide heels of the company, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn.
Now that, the leader of the YES movement is back in a wrestling capacity; it is not likely that he would continue in his role of the Smackdown general manager soon. Previously, he stated on live TV that he does not like to do this corporate job. Instead, he’d go back to a wrestling capacity, overall.
With that being said, a replacement is needed on WWE TV for the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion. A new general manager is required on the Smackdown Live brand to revamp things. Daniel Bryan is in the charge for almost two years which is why a change would freshen things up for the fans, as well.
Recently, we received updates as to who might turn out to reserve this spot. According to the updates from cagesideseats.com, Jeff Jarret is the front-runner to become the new Smackdown Live general manager. He had recently come back to the WWE as part of the WWE Hall of fame ceremony.
Furthermore, he also visited the blue brand tapings during the go-home episode of Wrestlemania in Nashville, Tennessee.
Furthermore, reports surfaced regarding this on stillrealtous.com regarding this matter which might just turn out to be true,
“Jarrett has kept quiet regarding his future with WWE beyond the Hall of Fame, but it’s worth noting that Kurt Angle was in the same position last year, and ultimately he became the Raw General Manager the day after WrestleMania.”
Also, it is to be noted that Jeff Jarrett had posted a recent picture of Smackdown Live on his Instagram account which turned out to be a confirmed indication of his future role in the company.
The creative team of the brand is likely to get more enriched with his presence. Previously, this man used to be the show-runner from backstage for the Impact Wrestling promotion. The same role would be handed to him, really soon.
