Last night’s Smackdown Live witnessed a packed main event match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.

It was hosted with a clause that the winner will get to choose the stipulation of their next match. The next time they will compete in the Money in the PPV event. It is going to get contested for the WWE Championship match.

In the very best instalment from their ongoing series of matches, Nakamura overcame the resistance provided by the WWE Champion.

He came up with the heel antics, once again to outsmart Styles. After that, a Kinshasa got the job done for the contender. So, Nakamura closed this week’s Smackdown on a winning note.

Once the main show, went off the air, there was a championship match in-store for the fans in attendance. The Miz and Jeff Hardy were kept off the main show of Smackdown Live. But, they appeared to compete in a WWE United States Championship match.

To the delight of the fans, Jeff Hardy’s music hit the O2 Arena in London. However, it was during the entrance when the younger Hardy might have ruptured his leg. As noted by the fans in attendance, he was limping throughout the match. Despite the unprecedented occurrence, he retained his title over the Hollywood A-lister.

These were the updates provided by wrestligINC.com,

“Jeff Hardy may have suffered a left leg injury in the dark main event after tonight’s WWE SmackDown and WWE 205 Live tapings in London, England. Hardy defeated The Miz in that match using the Twist of Fate and the Swanton Bomb. The match went around 8 minutes.”

There’s still no updates available on the condition of Jeff Hardy, post-Smackdown. Hopefully, he will be okay in time to work on next week’s show. Consecutive absence from TV taping will do harm his strong champion characteristics.

Apart from this, Becky Lynch was seen on the Smackdown Live fallout show. She talked about qualifying for the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Becky stated she’d been dreaming about getting back into the SmackDown Women’s championship chase. She hasn’t stopped working for it. But, now, this gets her back onto the ladder. She aims to win the ladder match and hold the title, yet again.
