Smackdown had a solid opener, this week. Daniel Bryan received big ovations from the London crowd, but it was Big Cass who stole the show.
Lately, he’s been owning it with the mic. The words that Brie wears the pant in the family sounded nasty and so Bryan’s attack Cass.
It seemed vicious that portrayed Bryan as a strong character. It was much-needed for his character.
Great opening to #SDLive. Big Cass is owning it on the mic lately. That comment about Brie made it seem real personal and that attack by Bryan added to that realism. Solid start in London tonight.

The opening contest was a fun tag team match featuring the New Day and The Bar. It was good to see Woods getting back to action after last week’s injury in his mouth. The probable reason to give the win to New Day was to hand away any one of them an opportunity to MITB. Maybe, this is just a way to break-up the New Day on Smackdown.
A fun tag match between The New Day and The Bar. Cesaro and Xavier Woods have some chemistry in the ring. I wonder which one of the 3 members of The New Day will be in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Maybe not a bad time to plant the seed for a New Day break up? #SDLive

Most of the time on this week’s Smackdown, we heard a lot of talking. Carmella took that to a whole new level during her Mellabration promo.
It pretty much was expected that Asuka is going to be her next opponent since Charlotte Flair is done with the title picture, for now. It will be interesting to see whether Asuka picks up a quick win at MITB.
Almas with his #SDLive debut. I really wonder what they’ll do with him and Vega there. Hopefully not another Baron Corbin as they nearly destroyed his character.

After the hype-ups around Andrade Cien Almas, we expected better debut for him on Smackdown. A squash match seemed the most predictable thing.
Hopefully, he would not get wasted on the roster like his predecessors, Baron Corbin or Tye Dillinger. The triple threat qualifier won by Becky Lynch, was a bit slow in action.
By no means a classic but probably the best match between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura in the #WWE. Felt as if Nakamura had the upper hand for most of the match. Clever ending with the referee there. No idea what stipulation they’ll add to their #MITB match. Ladder match?

The main event of Smackdown was a solid one between Styles and Nakamura. It was perhaps the best contest between these two than their previous meeting. The scenario has now been made interesting with the anticipation of an interesting stipulation for their next bout. Hopefully, this is going to be the last match between these two.
Lots of talking and little wrestling on the show (four matches, one of which was a squash) in London but better than Raw last night that’s for sure. Storylines were advanced which is always a good thing. Though these men and women look all kinds of tired. #SDLive
