The MITB ladder match shape-up has reached its final lap. There will be eight superstars from both Raw and Smackdown Live to compete in this match. The rule is same for both the men and women’s division matches. Seven participants for these two contests are ready to grab this opportunity. Only one spot is remaining, currently.
WWE Raw has finalised the eight names for the male division MITB ladder match, much earlier than thought. They filled up the slots at the past London episode of the show. This week, Natalya was the latest name to the women’s division matchup.
It leaves only one name remaining from the fray to get into the match. A historical match will take place to determine this eighth slot where seven superstars will compete in a Gauntlet match. It is only the second such match in the entire women’s division history. Sasha Banks is the favourite to win this bout, for now.
Smackdown Live has their doors closed for the women’s division MITB ladder match. The four names from their side are official. It will remain the same way unless there are any health concerns for Charlotte Flair. She has undergone dental surgery. The officials kept her out of the televised episodes due to this reason.
But, the blue brand does have one spot left for the men’s division ladder match. Big Cass and Samoa Joe were the contenders for this last spot. But, Cass lost the opportunity due to an injury. Daniel Bryan seized it by winning a match against Jeff Hardy on this week’ show.
So, he will advance to compete in the last qualifying match, next week. His opponent in this match will be none other than Samoa Joe. It might be bad news for Bryan. Joe is the actual favourite to win this contest.
