This week’s Smackdown kicked off with the MITB women’s summit. We expected this segment to get out of hands with the female MITB participants participating in it.
The scene became even more chaotic with the arrival of IIconics, Mandy Rose, and Sony Deville. It was a fun segment to open the show which was far better than that of the ladder segment from last night’s Raw.
That opening segment was better than last night’s opener on #Raw. Got all 8 female wrestlers involved and helped build up the Money in the Bank ladder match. #SDLive

The match between Daniel Bryan and Shelton Benjamin was a solid one. There’s no doubt about Bryan being a veteran competitor.
Last night Benjamin showed he did not lose a step either. There’s a reason the pro-wrestling universe called him ‘the golden standard’. He proves it to be true giving a tough competition to the leader of YES movement.
Absolutely loved that match between Bryan and Benjamin. Two great workers. Daniel’s still got it and fair to say Shelton has never lost it either. Great opening match on #SDLive.

Another fun contest took place between Rusev and Samoa Joe with The Miz being the special guest referee. We knew that his involvement was going to affect the match.
So how cost Joe the matchup on Smackdown Live. It became an entertaining contest with three heels in the ring at the same time which is a rare thing. The New Day gave a surprise to The Miz with the pancakes after the match which was funny too.
Not a bad match by Joe and Rusev. I feel like they could have done more had it not been for the commercial and the advertisement during the match.
Up next is Jeff Hardy vs. Shinsuke Nakamura. I won’t get my hopes up but this one could be really fun. #SDLive

The match between Nakamura and Jeff Hardy was good too. It’s hard to get a bad match between these two considering their veteran skills.
They delivered to the full extent until Nakamura disqualified the match. We expected the ambush to continue so that AJ can come out and confront Nakamura. But the Smackdown creative team chose to keep these two separate until MITB PPV.
Not a terrible main event but lots of quick tags (except from Becky who stayed in there for most of the match).
I get they wanted to protect everyone before this Sunday’s Money in the Bank and they did that tonight. #SDLive

Smackdown main event match from Memphis was pretty huge. It’s quite often that we see the entire female division competing in the same match.
It was a good idea to let each of them have some screen space before this Sunday’s MITB ladder match and the title match. All of them got to show their ability inside the ring. Meanwhile, Asuka sought redemption by tapping out Carmella to end the night.
A fun #SDLive. Started off with the women and ended with the women. A solid match in between between Daniel Bryan and Shelton too. I can’t pick one thing I hated from tonight’s show. Was it the best? Not really but far from being bad. I liked this one tonight.

It was another food effort from the Smackdown creative team to hype-up MITB. Here are the Twitter reactions from the night,
“I’m willing to risk it all. I’m ready to go through anyone… even if it means my best friend. How’s your arm, by the way?” @BeckyLynchWWE knows it’s every woman for herself at #MITB! #SDLive @MsCharlotteWWE pic.twitter.com/YMhS59aUa5

The fans spoke and WWE has listened!
No more 6-woman tag matches on #SDLive!
Instead, you’ll get 8-woman tags. Keep bitching and it’ll turn into 10-woman tags.
Enjoy.

I really want Shelton Benjamin to have his old Ain’t No Stopping Me Now theme song back. His current theme isn’t really cutting it for me. #SDLive
