It was announced earlier that the plans around the Survivor Series WWE championship were changed overnight after the champion got injured at a live event in Dublin, Ireland.
He had to relinquish the WWE title ending his long title reign. WWE announced a tournament, therefore, to crown a new champion at the Survivor Series PPV, as the most viable option. As soon as that happened, reports started coming about the names that will be involved in the tournament. As per the reports of Inquistr, there will be 10 to 15 names who will be involved in the preliminary matches. The preliminary matches of the tournament will take place in the coming weeks whereas the semi-final and the final match will be reserved for the pay-per-view.
When it comes to the stars rumor mills are running rampant that Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Del Rio etc. will be involved in the tournament. Though it is not confirmed yet if the number 1 contender Roman Reigns will be involved in the tournament or not. Rusev and Randy Orton’s name are coming too though it is only possible if doctors let them compete in the ring.
The most interesting buzz is that Daniel Bryan has been called to make a return to the ring after this unfortunate injury occurred with Seth Rollins. According to Cagesideseats, WWE has been calling some frantic names like Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam to recover from this critical situation. Brock Lesnar’s appearance can never be counted off which depends upon the amount of money he will be offered.
