WWE Smackdown will throw a unique episode in honour of USA Independence Day. The 4th of July marks the infamous day where WWE superstars come up with something special each of the year. This year the blue brigade of the WWE looks forward to celebrating the day in advance.
Smackdown Live will be live this week from the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska. The focus will be on Team Hell No after that grand reunion last week. The official announcement from WWE.com declared that the duo would be kicking things off on the show. They are likely to have a strong message to their opponents at Extreme Rules.
Also, there would be an inter-gender match scheduled on the show. Meanwhile, we should look forward to some brand new matches confirmed on the show. The WWE Champion will come back on Smackdown Live after one week’s hiatus. He will go straight into facing one-half of Rusev Day, Aiden English.
The two of them had engaged in a banter two weeks ago. English dared to play mind-games with the reigning champion. So he received a big punch to the mouth from the ‘champ that runs the camp’. Tonight, AJ will be on a mood to teach him more about respect. It, in turn, will heat up the rivalry between Styles and Rusev.
Smackdown fans should have more fun on the shown now that Jeff Hardy will come up with another title match. His current rival, Shinsuke Nakamura is absent from the scene owing to a leg injury.
So, the title-holder will continue to call out a mystery opponent for the United States Open Challenge. It will be interesting to see who steps up to this championship opportunity.
Becky Lynch will get another opportunity to continue her momentums on Smackdown. Tonight, she will continue to feature in action on the show for three straight weeks in a row. Peyton Royce from the IIconics will be her opponent. It will continue their rivalry that is heating up following the MITB PPV.
Lastly, The New Day will host a special treat for the Independence Day of America. They are going to host a special pancake-eating contest on Smackdown. Here’s the update from WWE.com,
“The New Day are ready to scarf down a heaping helping of their favourite breakfast treats in the First Annual Third of July Pancake Eating Contest on SmackDown LIVE. Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E will be competing against each other to see who can eat the most pancakes in the start of a new tradition.”
