WWE Raw had a good start this week with Kurt Angle threatening the beast Brock Lesnar. He was about to strip him of the title when Paul Heyman showed up.

And it was an expected move which received booing reactions from the jam-packed crowd. But they lived the fact that Lesnar will finally have to show up at Summerslam for a title defense.

The opening contest was definitely a slobber-knocker on WWE Raw. Roman Reigns, Finn Balor and Drew McIntyre tore the house down in a no-DQ environment.

In the end, Reigns became the winner which the audience did not love. If this was just a set up to make him the challenger for Brock Lesnar again, then it is again a bad news for the fans.

Meanwhile, it was a fun segment with Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler. The expectations were that Roode will definitely get a chance to challenge for the Intercontinental Championship.

The former NXT champion deserves to be in a title opportunity. Unfortunately for the fans and him in particular, the officials handed him a loss. It will not allow him to be the contender for IC title.

The crowd of WWE Raw in New York wanted Ronda Rousey in the house and got it. The Rowdy once appeared chasing down Alexa Bliss to the pleasure of the fans. Angle barred her from a beatdown for now.

Meanwhile, Angle almost confirmed that at SummerSlam, Ronda will get another shot to the title.

It was another triple threat main event matchup on WWE Raw. As expected, Bobby Lashley won this contest to set up a rematch on next week’s show. It looks like that the setup is final for the SummerSlam lineup.

Reigns will beat Lashley settling the score from Extreme Rules. This planning won’t help the championship match, at all.

Overall, it was a decent WWE Raw to start things for Summerslam.
