We have recently reported the shocking title change at WWE NXT tapings. Usually, such things happen in special shows which takes place live before any ‘big-four’ WWE PPV events.

But this time around, the creative team pulled the trigger on the contender in a taping from the Full Sail University.

Tommaso Ciampa won the maiden WWE NXT championship from Aleister Black in a solid match. His feud against Johnny Gargano has become a myth to the fans, nowadays. Ironically, Johnny turned out to be the one who eventually helped the psychotic heel to win the prime title on the NXT brand.

Gargano’s distraction on Black allowed Ciampa to capitalise with Angel’s Wings to get the victory. Now Ciampa has secured the top spot available but will have to defend it within four weeks of time. WWE NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV is waiting on August 18th with the title hanging on the balance.

It looks like WWE had already planned the main event of this night. The general manager of WWE NXT, William Regal has made a triple threat match official for the upcoming show.

Tommaso Ciampa will have to defend against both Black and Gargano. It was almost inevitable after the involvement of Gargano in the past title match.

For most of the times, WWE NXT championships lose their titles just to get call-ups to the main roster. The same is likely to happen with Black too once he remains unsuccessful to recapture the belt. Even Gargano might follow him with his wife and NXT women roster member, Candice LeRae.

Speaking of the women’s division takes us to the women’s title match at the Takeover: Brooklyn IV event. Kairi Sane has become the number contender defeating LeRae and Nikki Cross in a match. So she will be getting her title opportunity against Shayna Baszler at the mentioned show.
