Marcos Rojo's future at Old Trafford is yet to get decided.

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is heading to Manchester rather than joining United’s tour in the U.S, as he looks to sort out his future in the coming few days.

Rojo might leave the English club if Mourinho signs a new defender.

The Manchester United defender has been on holiday in Mexico following the FIFA World Cup 2018. Rojo is currently nursing a knock he picked up playing for Argentina in Russia. But instead of joining Jose Mourinho’s squad in Los Angeles, he will return to his home in Wilmslow.

Marcos Rojo doubts persist over his long-term future at the Old Trafford. The sources have told that Premier League new boys Wolves are the latest club to show an interest in Rojo.

His position at United is becoming increasingly uncertain, as Jose Mourinho tries to bolster his defence before the deadline. United hold an interest in Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld, but Leicester and Tottenham are proving tough negotiators.

The arrival of another centre-back would leave Mourinho with six at the back meaning at least one would have to leave. However, Marcos Rojo, 28, signed a new deal in March that could keep him at the club until 2022.

But he has fallen down the pecking order and was not even included in the squad for the FA Cup final against Chelsea in May.

According to close sources, Man Utd are ready to sell Marcos Rojo to make room for Harry’s £65million move to Old Trafford. Mourinho has been told he must sell before he can buy anyone. And Rojo is the odd man out among the five centre-backs on United’s books.

Meanwhile, Matty Willock, 21, has joined St Mirren in a season-long loan deal. The midfielder signed a two-year deal last summer and spent time at FC Utrecht and St Johnstone last season.
