Braun Strowman and Kevin Owens had an entertaining rivalry in this summer. Both of these superstars have the capability of good story-telling. Due to this we never felt bored despite the feud being a stretched one. This set up a rematch between them at Summerslam. There was a twist in the tale, however.

Kevin Owens has been the victim of some brutal beatings from Braun Strowman over the past couple of months. He even threw off the top of the steel cage at Extreme Rules. This could have ruined Owens’ career in the WWE. So he eyed to take everything away from the popular superstar.

What better way to do it than take away the MITB briefcase from him at Summerslam? He received the opportunity courtesy of Stephanie McMahon on WWE Raw. The stipulation of the PPV match was if Kevin Owens wins, he would become the new MITB briefcase winner.

It would take away the opportunity from Braun Strowman to become the future Universal Champion. So this Summerslam match started in an interesting capacity. Braun Strowman received a wild reception from the Summerslam crowd. Kevin Owens, on the other hand, had an interesting t-shirt that had ‘KO Money in the Bank’ written on it.

However, he failed to grab the briefcase after all of his dirty antics. Braun Strowman took early advantage of the match with a splash into the corner. Kevin Owens went for recuperation at the outside. The Monster among Men had a long sprint and rampaged his opponent with a huge Shoulder Block!

Braun Strowman connected with a second shoulder block into the floor. Kevin Owens still managed to back up on his feet and deliver a superkick on his opponent. But the big man was quickly up and delivered a huge chokeslam on the ramp! He carried the senseless body of Kevin Owens into the ring.
