Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is certainly the man of the hour. His scintillating spell on day 2 against England turned the game in India’s favour. While Pandya was criticized for his lack of contribution, a five-for at Trent Bridge will surely give him confidence.
He has been backed by the Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Both the cricketers are flamboyant and love to speak their mind. And therefore it is no surprise when Pandya did a Kohli some years back

Hardik Pandya is doing a fine job for the Indian team.
Kohli was all over the news when there were reports of him gifting his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma a brand new Honda City. In a similar way, Pandya took his coach to a car showroom and gifted a four-wheeler to Jitendra Singh.

Pandya makes his coach proud
“Hardik had come to meet me after the Australia tour for which he was selected for the first time in India squad. He straight away took me to a car showroom, where he and Krunal (elder brother) gifted me a car,” Jitendra recollected.

Hardships and determination
Just like skipper Kohli, the Pandyas too faced a lot of hardship. Hardik’s brother Krunal plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. He had made the cut for the T20I series against England and is a regular member of the Baroda team.
“I am originally from Surat. But since the cricket facility was better in Baroda, I decided to shift shifted with my family as we were then thinking about Krunal’s cricket. Krunal started the training under Kiran More and seven-year-old Hardik used to accompany him at the academy. Kiran Sir (More) asked him to come to his Academy and didn’t even charge my boys any coaching fee,” father Himanshu told PTI today.
