WWE Smackdown Preview (18/09/18): Hell In A Cell Fallout, Championship Scenario Address 1
courtesy WWE

Hell in a Cell came up with an exciting night for Smackdown Live roster. Hardy and Orton kicked off the night giving us with a brutal match to remember forever. Two of them might never be the same again after that experience. The WWE championship match left us with confusions, on the other hand as it ended in a confusing manner.

It is certain that there will be massive fallouts from this match at Hell in a Cell. We can say the same for the women’s championship match, too. A new title-holder emerged on the scene to make the scenario interesting. Plus, we should see a new feud to begin over the United States title picture. All of these would be in store when Smackdown airs from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe ended in a controversial manner for the second consecutive time. At Summerslam too, AJ made the match disqualified. At Hell in a Cell, he might have tapped out earlier than the referee’s pinfall attempt towards Samoa Joe. So it did not make him the loser in this championship match.

Joe will try to come up with his point on Smackdown, again. He will be getting a rematch, as per the instructions of the general manager at Super Show Down. But the challenger is not willing to wait till October 6th and needs something immediate. We will see what Paige does to fulfil this demand of the Samoan Submission Machine. Meanwhile, AJ Styles will battle against Andrade Almas on tonight’s show.

Becky Lynch proved the haters wrong by winning the Smackdown women’s championship at Hell in a Cell. She also did this via clean pinfall over Charlotte Flair which is even more significant. It automatically sets up a rematch between these two at the Super Show Down PPV. So they will continue to feud against each other until this show arrives.

Shinsuke Nakamura waited for a worthy opponent for the United States championship. There’s still no challenger available for this mid-card title even after the title win that happened at Summerslam, one month ago. So Paige named Rusev to be the new contender for Nakamura. He will have to defend it against the Bulgarian Brute on Smackdown.

Jeff Hardy will not be in the scene after that nasty fall from Hell in a Cell. We will hear any further medical update on his condition. But Randy Orton will continue boasting about his win at the PPV event. He might also get his next opponent starting from tonight’s Smackdown.

The Smackdown tag team championship still resides on the shoulders of The New Day. But WWE already announced their next opponent at Super Show Down in the form of The Bar. So the old rivals will renew the feud for the future title match. WWE fans have already seen numerous matches among them. So it might turn out to be quite repetitive at times.
