This week’s episode of RAW saw a record breakdown in viewership since 1997. In average, this week’s RAW had 2.96 million viewers. This is also the first time since 1997 that RAW viewership had gone below 3 Million since 1997. It just shows that how the heels are affecting the company from the worst pay-per-view of the year i.e. Survivor Series.
While Seth Rollins’ knee injury had opened the door for the company to push the new talents for grabbing the opportunity, they instead decided to go with an old one i.e. Sheamus. It is quite clear that crowd is not interested to see the new champ, otherwise they should show up to get a look at the “Hawk” and the opposite thing would not happen.

After failing to capitalize on the opportunity provided by Rollins’ injury they had left with no choice but to call back Brock Lesnar to pull up the ratings. Though Lesnar will not appear in any of the RAW and Smackdown episodes in the month December but the huge announcement itself is enough to spike up the ratings.
WWE advertised that he will be present at the live events that will take place in Inglewood and Houston on December 19th and January 8th respectively and finally will make his return to RAW on January 11th from New Orleans.
His return is to initiate some plans at the Royal Rumble event that will culminate at Wrestlemania 32. Utilizing him more in the shows is good for the company as it is speculated that his contract with WWE has been negotiated further to avail more dates from him. But, until his return WWE has to make Reigns vs. Sheamus feud fruitful to end the year on a good note.
