After being slapped by the present Manchester United captain in recent weeks, WWE superstar Wade Barrett is out to defend him quite surprisingly against the former one i.e. Roy Keane! The ‘King of the Ring’ winner Barrett has issued a challenge to Roy over the comments the Irishman made about Rooney after the Red army finished the match 0-0 against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Wednesday Night.

In earlier November, after the incident that took place at the Old Trafford, Manchester arena where Rooney got physical with the Preston born Barrett, Roy questioned Rooney’s mentality and said that there was no need for Rooney to be involved in that nonsense.

Roy Keane who is notoriously known for his wrestling and grappling on the pitch was not happy with the appearance of Rooney on the “Longest running weekly television show in history” and believes the striker has bigger responsibilities to worry about. He advised that Rooney should focus on his physical and mental condition to perform better in the field. He also added that there’s nothing profit for him by slapping a wrestler like that.

But Wade did not seem to take the comments likely and offered a battle to the former Manchester United captain via social media who is known as a battler in the field too. It looks like Wrestlemania season is coming around and WWE creative is looking for some sparkling ingredients for the show and if Roy Keane does accept the challenge, then Barrett vs. Keane on the grandest stage of them all is what “Best for Business” as WWE COO Triple H likes to say.
