AJ Styles and Samoa Joe has been in a feud on Smackdown for quite sometimes. This has become quite personal over the past several weeks. The contender for the WWE Championship was blasting the champion for staying away from his family. He is extremely busy in WWE schedule and can hardly find time for them.
The known fact has turned out to be bitter as Samoa Joe wanted to become the new father for Little Annie. He continued to take shots to AJ Styles family by telling this. He went right into the champ’s heads due to this. So the two matches between these two failed to produce any sort of culmination. This set up the third match at Super Show Down where Samoa Joe is getting a rematch.
But still, he decided to cross the line last week on Smackdown. He wanted to give AJ Styles family a visit to surprise Wendy Styles and little Annie. We could not see further as Joe stopped the footage just after ringing the bell at the champ’s house. That led to last night’s segment on Smackdown Live where Paige addressed the situation. WWE.com already confirmed that she would open the night continuing this angle.
So Paige came out in an overwhelming reaction from the Portland crowd to speak about the matter. She started saying that Samoa Joe committed one of the most heinous acts last week in the history of Smackdown Live. Her initial thought about being the GM of the show was that it would be exhilarating, emotional and exhausting. But she never thought of seeing such a scene that occurred last week on Smackdown.
Paige continued that Samoa Joe never entered into the house of AJ Styles in Gainesville, Georgia. Authority figures went to the champ’s house to protect her family. Later, she talked to the management who decided to fire Samoa Joe for his actions. Furthermore, police charges were lodged against his name. But thankfully, Paige did drop the charges as per request from none other than AJ Styles!
The WWE Champion wanted to tear down his opponent at WWE Super Show Down. So he did not want to throw an opportunity to beat the hell out of Samoa Joe at any cost. So Joe did not lose his job as per confirmations from Paige. He will get his title opportunity at the global PPV event in Australia. Furthermore, AJ Styles could not attend last night’s Smackdown as he was protecting his family. But he sent a video message to give a strong message to the fans.
