Team India skipper Virat Kohli recently recalled a funny incident involving Rishabh Pant during the last season of the Indian Premier League.

Meanwhile, it was an exciting encounter when Delhi Daredevils locked horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore last year. Kohli was batting in full swing while Pant tried to motivate his bowlers while standing behind the wicket. Subsequently, Virat Kohli turned back to engage in a friendly chat with the young wicket-keeper.

“I asked Rishabh, what are you doing when you are saying that there is pressure?. He got conscious and said, Bhaiya Mujhe to Motivate Krna Hain Bowler ko. (I need to motivate the bowler),” Kohli said.

“But the bowler should also have the confidence to get me out. No issues, you will play under my captaincy for the Indian team,” he continued.

Rishabh Pant subsequently made his debut under the leadership of Virat Kohli. Furthermore, Kohli also added that the T20 league should not hamper the personal relationships among players. Indian players play together for ten months in a year. Thus, it is imperative to maintain the harmony in the dressing room.
