Bangladesh has added Shadman Islam as a backup opener to their Test squad against the Windies. This is the maiden call-up for the young batsman as he is yet to make his debut for Bangladesh. The Bangladesh selectors want to strengthen their batting line-up in the absence of their full-time opener Tamim Iqbal. The flamboyant southpaw batsman was ruled out due to a side strain in the Asia Cup.
