Mohammad Hafeez is set to join the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and he will play for Dhaka Dynamites very soon.
The Pakistan all-rounder overturned his decision to play for Chittagong Vikings at the earlier stage. The reason was for his turnaround was due to an inclusion of Mohammad Amir in that team. However, Chittagong franchise had denied making any offer to Hafeez.
Hafeez had told AFP at earlier about his decision to not playing for Chittagong, “I was approached by my agent to play for the Chittagong team but when I knew that Amir was also in that team so I refused it point blank. I have no personal issues with Amir or Chittagong; it’s my personal opinion that I can’t share the dressing room with someone who hurt my country’s integrity.”
Yet Hafeez had told that he had no problem to play for any other teams, even Amir was playing in against team. He elaborated, “If any other team makes me an offer then I will play the league and I have no problems facing Amir as I have played against him in the domestic matches but can’t be in the same team.”
Recently Hafeez was struggling in the T-20 series against England in Sharjah, where he managed to score just 33 runs in 3 matches.
Hafeez is currently focusing in BPL. He said, “I am leaving for Dhaka tonight, I hope to do well in the league and make an impact in the tournament for my team.”
After Hafeez’s comments about Amir, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had issued show cause notice to him.
