India vs South Africa final Test of a four-match Test series at Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi created many records in Test cricket. One of the records was the highest percentage of dot balls in an innings since 2000.

Now, South Africa holds the record of playing percentage of dot balls the most in an innings in the Delhi match after the innings ended at 91.96% of dot balls in the fourth innings. They played 790 dot balls out of 859 balls faced. Though they failed to draw the match but showed a respectable fight on a tough pitch.

Actually, The Protease team traditionally holds the records of playing most percentage of dot balls in an innings since 2000. They are in all of the top five lists while Bangladesh is at no.6 position. All of these South African innings came in the last innings of the match just like the Delhi match, while Bangladesh innings was the 1st innings of the match.

As per the list, South Africa drew successfully in the second, third and fourth match against Sri Lanka, West Indies and Australia respectively in the above list; while they lost against Australia at Cape Town  just like this Delhi match. Bangladesh lost the match against New Zealand.
