Team India started the Test series in Australia on stunning note. They beat the hosts by 31 runs to take the lead in the four-match series. However, things started deteriorating since the second Test in Perth started. Even before the start of the game, skipper Virat Kohli came under criticism for his decision to play the game without any frontline pacer.
The India star then managed to shut his critics up with a stunning ton. However, from thereon it all went horribly wrong for the visitors. Kohli faced severe criticism for sledging his Australian counterpart Tim Paine. And while it was just sledging, the opportunist Australian media made sure to paint Kohli as a villain once again. Things then became ugly when Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja got involved in a fight with each other. They nearly traded blows before being stopped by their teammates.

The media, meanwhile, has not left any stone unturned to take a shot at Team India and the players. However, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly, who knows a thing or two about the way Australian media believes, has warned them. The legendary batsman said that the current side can win both the Tests and that the team has the firepower to bounce back after the loss in the last Test.
Taking to Twitter, Ganguly wrote: “Lots of talk going around in media specially Australian .. watch out for india against this australia ..still two tests to go and india can win both.. don’t go too far ahead everyone @bcci”

India, meanwhile, have lost Prithvi Shaw for the series after the opener failed to recover from the ankle injury. Uncapped Mayank Agarwal has replaced the youngster in the team. India have also recalled allrounder Hardik Pandya for the two Tests after the Baroda star made an impressive return to the game in the Ranji Trophy.
The third Test gets underway on December 26 in Sydney.
